Privacy Policy
Abigail Rogers is the owner and sole chiropractor at Restore Clinic. I am registered with the Information Commisioner’s Office (ICO) and comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 including the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). I am also registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and comply with the relevant standards and guidelines laid out by them.
I am committed handling and storing your personal data respectfully and responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains the basis for holding your personal data, what data is stored and how it is accessed and stored and your rights. By providing your personal data, you are consenting to the practices described in this Policy.
Basis for Processing Data
When you supply your personal details to the clinic, they are stored and processed for the following reasons:
I am legally obliged to maintain patient records and store them safely and in good condition for a specific amount of time. This is: eight years from the date of the patient’s last visit or up to the age of 25 if this is longer.
After this period, you may request (in writing) for me to delete your records. Otherwise, I will retain your records indefinitely, in order to provide you with the best possible care should you come and see me in the future.
Patient records include information about the patient including:
Storage and Access to Patient Records
Your Patient record information as above is stored on paper in a locked filing cabinet with a single key. I am the only keyholder.
Your contact details (name, email address and telephone number) are stored on Google Contacts. These are accessed only via fingerprint on my mobile phone and 2 stage password access on my private computer.
I am the sole practitioner at Restore Clinic and only I have access to your patient records and contact details in order to arrange and carry out your treatment.
You have the right to see what personal data of yours we hold. Please put this request in writing and note that a small administration fee will be charged. You can also ask us to correct any factual errors.
I will never share your data with anyone without your written consent (unless required by law).
Contact
I want all patients to be confident that their personal data is being handled in a responsible manner and that people only have access to your data if they have a genuine need. If you have any concerns, you of course have the right to complain.
If you have any questions or indeed, concerns with regards to my Privacy Policy please put them in writing addressed to Abigail Rogers.
Either via email to abigail@restoreclinic.co.uk or in letter form to 20 Claremont Road, Bristol. BS7 8DQ.
In the event that you are dissatisfied with my response, you have the right to raise the issue with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Basis for Processing Data
When you supply your personal details to the clinic, they are stored and processed for the following reasons:
- I need to collect personal information about your health in order to provide you with the best possible treatment. Your requesting treatment and our agreement to provide that care constitutes what the law calls a "Contract".
- I have what is termed a "Legitimate Interest" in collecting that information, because without it we could not do our job effectively and safely.
- I also think that it is important that we can contact you in order to confirm your appointments with us or to update you on matters related to your medical care. This again constitutes "Legitimate Interest", but this time it is your legitimate interest.
- Consistent with our role as healthcare professionals, we may occasionally send you general health information in the form of articles, advice or newsletters. This again falls under the category of "Legitimate Interest".
