Directions:
From within Bristol: Join the A38 Gloucester road.
- From the south - continue up the A38 past the Arches. Then continue past the Sainsburys local and the Promenade of shops on your left (including Costa/Tart/Blue Lagoon/Gallimaufry). Sharp left up onto Claremont road (if you miss it take the next left up Raglan Road).
- From the north - continue down the A38 past Horfield Leisure Centre on your left and then the Wellington pub also on your left. Continue past the large Shell garage on your right and over the traffic lights with the Royal Oak pub on the left. Continue going straight ahead over zebra crossing and down to crossway. Here there is a Coop garage on your right and Ocean Estate Agents visible ahead on the left. Turn RIGHT here up Berkeley road and then first left down Broadway road. Carry on to the end and as you bend round to the right it becomes Claremont Road and number 20 is right there ahead of you on the left.
- From the M4 - it may be quickest to turn off junction 19 for Bristol. This will take you straight onto the M32. Exit here at junction 3 and take the third exit onto Lower Ashley Road. Turn right at the traffic lights, up Ashley Hill until you get to a mini roundabout. Turn left here onto Chesterfield road which becomes Cromwell road. At traffic lights at the end turn right onto A38 Gloucester road and you are at the Arches (continue as above 'From the south')
- From the M5 - it is simplest to either come off at Junction 19 and go over the Clifton Suspension Bridge and then past Bristol Zoo and across the roundabout to go down Redland Hill and then Zetland Road and come up Elton Road. Or come off at Junction 18 and go down the Portway, up Shirehampton road, up Parry's Lane, up North View (Waitrose is on your left). Turn right along Linden road and then straight over the traffic lights to come down Cranbrook road to Gloucester Road. Turn left into Gloucester road (A38) and then past the Promenade of shops on your left (Gallimaufry pub/Blue Lagoon etc) then take the first sharp left which is Claremont road and it is not far up on your left.
